On July 26, the closing ceremony of the summer school “The European Green Deal – Legal Perspectives” was held at the Georgian National University SEU.
The summer school lasted for five days and saw participation from undergraduate and master’s level students from various higher educational institutions across Georgia. During the sessions, participants attended lectures by Georgian and international experts on key issues related to the European Green Deal. Discussions also covered the alignment of Georgia’s current policy framework with the European Union’s Green Deal policies and the main measures implemented in this direction.
At the conclusion of the summer school, students gave presentations on topics related to the European Green Deal, relevant legal instruments, and initiatives. Following their presentations, they were awarded certificates.
As part of the summer school, lectures were given by both Georgian and international experts:
“The European Green Deal – Just Transition in Education” is an EU-funded Jean Monnet module coordinated by the Georgian National University SEU. It aims to study, teach, and raise awareness about the main components of the EU Green Deal. The project also focuses on sharing European experiences related to green policy and promoting the development of relevant values in society.
